Finding a Real Estate Agent

You've decided to sell your house. but question ~ Where is to begin? It's time to find a real estate agent first!

Make sure the agent has worked a few years at least. You want to be evaluating the style of the agent and their communication skills. How they will represent your house? when is an appropriate time to market your house? Are they professional? Are they friendly? Are they knowledgeable of the neighborhood?

Look for the agent has been working full time. Great agents will give you their undivided attention and even make you feel as you are their only client. If real estate is their full-time job, they can also handle multiple listings at the same time.

The agent is knowledgeable about the area. We know ~ real estate in different cities are all different in terms of price point and demand. What may surprise more people is even within same city, neighborhood or even streets can perform differently from one to another one. Local knowledge is particularly critical especially in city settings. This means an agent have to knowledge on a certain area or neighborhood. One street is may closer to schools than another, or one street may have a bit more traffic noise than a street that behind it. Finding an agent who knows the uniqueness and will help you market your house most accurately.

Make sure your agent have online access. Having a web savvy agent is very important, today as over 85% of all buyers initially looking their homes from online website. Many buyers are moving to Silicon alley to work for high-tech companies. These buyers are experts on the internet and know where to look on the web when looking to purchase a home.

Contact the agent with whom a friend or relative worked. If this agent produced positive results for a friend, there's a good chance they will do the same way for you.

Check the references that agent should be able to provide for you. Ask the agent you are considering for references from past clients. Satisfied and happy clients are more than willing to provide a great recommendation of their realtor.

Asking "How will you keep me informed about the progress of my transaction?" How frequently? Again, this is not a question with a correct answer, but will reflects your desires.
